Job Description:
Tax Processing:

• Review and process property tax assessments, tax bills, and payments.
• Enter tax-related data into the office’s computerized systems.
• Reconcile discrepancies in tax records and resolve issues.

Customer Service:

• Assist taxpayers with inquiries and provide information on tax procedures, deadlines, and payment options.
• Handle phone calls, emails, and in-person visits with professionalism and courtesy.
• Explain tax regulations and procedures clearly to the public.

Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of tax transactions, filings, and correspondence.
• Prepare and file required reports and documentation.

Administrative Support:

• Prepare and mail tax statements, reminders, and other correspondence.
• Assist in the preparation of tax-related documents for audits and reviews.
• Perform data entry, filing, and other clerical tasks as needed.

Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Stay informed about changes in tax laws and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of clerical/administrative experience
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with tax software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial information.
