Shop Assistant

Job Description:



Looking for a hands-on role with great growth potential? Staffmark is hiring a Shop Assistant in Broussard, LA. This is a great opportunity for someone mechanically inclined who enjoys working in a fast-paced industrial environment. If you’re reliable, safety-focused, and eager to learn, we want to hear from you!

Pay: $15.00/hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with general shop duties including cleaning, organizing, and equipment handling
  • Load, unload, and move materials or equipment around the shop
  • Support mechanics and technicians with basic tasks
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned by shop supervisors

 

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
  • General knowledge of shop tools and equipment helpful
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, industrial, or mechanical environment is a plus
  • Willingness to work rotating on-call shifts after training
  • Dependable, hard-working, and a team player
