Vice President, M&A Consulting – APAC Client Focus – Japanese Bilingual Preferred
Location: El Segundo, CA (Hybrid or Onsite)
Job Type: Ful-Time, Exempt
Position Summary: The Vice President will play a critical role in our M&A advisory practice, focusing on clients in the APAC region seeking to expand into the U.S. market. This role involves leading deal execution, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior team members. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing firm and work on complex, high-impact transactions. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and experienced M&A professional with a proven track record of success in financial due diligence, team leadership, and experience working with APAC clients.
Responsibilities: • Transaction Execution: Lead and manage all aspects of M&A transactions, including due diligence, valuation, financial modeling, negotiation support, and closing. • Financial Due Diligence: Conduct and oversee comprehensive financial due diligence, including analysis of financial statements, projections, and key performance indicators. Identify key risks and opportunities. • Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the transaction process. Manage client expectations and communication effectively. • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support in their professional development. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. • Business Development: Support business development initiatives, including identifying potential clients and participating in pitch meetings (though no direct revenue generation requirement). • Industry Knowledge: Stay current on industry trends and market dynamics, contributing to the firm’s thought leadership and expertise. • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including Managing Directors and Analysts, to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred. • 7-10 years of experience in M&A advisory, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development. • Demonstrated expertise in financial due diligence, valuation, and transaction execution. • Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with experience managing and developing junior team members. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Pay range minimum: $ 150,000.00
Pay range maximum: $ 180,000.00
The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
