Job Description:
Staffmark is partnering with a leading aerospace and industrial manufacturer to find a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to work in Corona, CA. This key role will focus on managing supplier quality, driving performance improvement, and ensuring compliance with industry standards in support of manufacturing operations. Salary: $87,000 – $109,000 (Depending on experience.)
Responsibilities:
- Manage the supplier quality program and ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
- Perform audits, lead Supplier Improvement Projects, and drive root cause analysis (5-Whys, FMEA, 8-D).
- Manage SCARs, review purchase orders, and support supplier qualification.
- Develop inspection plans, analyze product trends, and approve First Article Inspections (FAI).
- Apply lean and Six Sigma tools, conduct quality audits, and resolve cross-functional quality issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve supplier-related quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years in supplier quality management or supply chain improvements, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing.
- Proficient in problem-solving tools (5-Whys, FMEA, 8-D) and root cause analysis.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Experience with GD&T, blueprint reading, and manufacturing/inspection processes.
- Knowledge of aerospace customer requirements (Boeing, Airbus) and contract flow-downs.
- Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) and lean tools experience preferred.
- Familiar with AS9100, Nadcap, ISO 9001, PPAP, and FAI.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; ASQ certification preferred.
