Now hiring for a Health, Safety and Environmental Engineer
Location: Hagerstown, MD
$68,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Education Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Professional certifications related to health, safety, or environmental management are a plus
- Experience with OSHA, EPA, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 compliance programs
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety and environmental regulations
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, investigations, and corrective action processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Ability to train employees and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other applicable HSE regulations
- Conduct incident, injury, and workers’ compensation investigations using root cause analysis techniques
- Analyze safety, operational, and environmental data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Maintain HSE documentation, policies, procedures, training records, reports, and regulatory filings
- Coordinate and support internal audits, environmental inspections, and ISO audits
- Track corrective actions and ensure timely completion of compliance requirements
- Develop and deliver safety and environmental training programs for employees
- Lead new hire safety orientation and ongoing refresher training
- Provide technical guidance to management and cross-functional teams
- Participate in safety committees and conduct facility safety and environmental inspections
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that promote a strong safety culture
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
- Manual dexterity to operate tools, perform repairs, and inspect equipment.

What You Will DoAs a Health & Safety, Environmental Engineer you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, replace worn components, document completed work, and work closely with production and operations teams to minimize downtime while maintaining quality and safety standards.
