Staffmark Group Partners with Foster Nation to Support Workforce Readiness for Former Foster Youth
CINCINNATI, OH – Staffmark Group, a leader in workforce solutions, is proud to announce its partnership with Foster Nation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting young adults aging out of the foster care system. This collaboration is part of Staffmark Group’s global RGF Connect initiative, a program under parent company RGF Staffing, which aims to connect 1.5 million individuals facing barriers to employment to meaningful job opportunities by 2030.
According to Matthew McGowan, Director of Social Impact for Staffmark Group’s RGF Connect program, more than 350,000 children are placed in foster care each year in the United States, and for many, aging out of the system means facing significant challenges, including a lack of resources, employment opportunities, and support networks. Statistics show that over 50% of these young adults will report zero earnings within the first four years after aging out, while one in five will experience homelessness, and 25% will enter the prison system within two years. Through this partnership, Staffmark Group and Foster Nation seek to change these outcomes by providing workforce readiness training and job placement assistance designed to help these young people overcome the extremely challenging barriers they face.
In addition to partnering on workforce readiness initiatives and job placement efforts, Staffmark Group and RGF Staffing are donating $30,000 to Foster Nation through the RGF Connect initiative. These funds will support programs designed to equip former foster youth with the tools and resources needed to transition into stable, sustainable careers. “Foster Nation is deeply grateful to Staffmark Group for its generous $30,000 donation, which will create lasting change in the lives of young people aging out of foster care,” said Maggie Lin, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Foster Nation. “This contribution empowers us to provide vital mentorship and accessible resources that help our foster youth build brighter futures. With Staffmark Group’s support, we can continue to uplift and equip these incredible young adults as they navigate the path to independence and success.”
“We selected Foster Nation as a partner because their mission aligns so closely with our own,” said Barbara Simmer, Executive Vice President of Staffmark. “It’s an honor to contribute to their mission, knowing it will help provide career readiness and essential support for young adults as they navigate their next chapter.”
This partnership represents a shared commitment to breaking down employment barriers and providing life-changing opportunities to vulnerable populations. By leveraging expertise in workforce solutions and the impactful programs led by Foster Nation, Staffmark Group is taking an active role in creating lasting change for former foster youth. “At Staffmark Group, we believe in the power of meaningful work to transform lives,” said Stacey Lane, CEO of Staffmark Group. “As a mentor, I’ve seen firsthand the resilience of these young adults and the critical role support networks play in their success. Our partnership with Foster Nation is about more than just job placement—it’s about empowering these individuals with the skills, resources, and confidence they need to build sustainable futures.”
