Industrial Painter – Direct Hire

Staffmark is hiring an experienced Industrial Painter in Jonesboro, AR, for a company specializing in the production of metal structural parts for engineering and construction machinery. This is a direct-hire opportunity offering competitive pay and long-term career growth!

Pay Rate: $20/hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (1st Shift)

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, the Industrial Painter will perform routine and preventive maintenance painting, prepare and coat metal surfaces, and ensure high-quality finishes on fabricated products. The role requires expertise in wet painting techniques, including mixing and applying epoxy, polyurethane, and other coatings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance painting duties on metal structures and equipment.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, shot blasting, and treating steel prior to painting.
• Mix and apply various coatings, including epoxy and polyurethane paints, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Identify and correct imperfections in finishes, ensuring a high-quality final product.
• Safely operate spray equipment, tools, and machinery used in the painting process.
• Maintain clean work areas, equipment, and supplies, following all safety and environmental regulations.
• Conduct inspections to ensure coatings are applied correctly and meet company standards.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of wet paint experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and follow instructions accurately.
• Strong understanding of paint application techniques and defect prevention.
• Familiarity with shot blasting and surface preparation methods.
• Ability to safely operate painting and finishing equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and twist for extended periods.
• Ability to pass a respirator fit test and wear a respirator daily.
• Good vision (both eyes above 1.0) is required for detailed work.
