Education Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Technical training in manufacturing, production operations, machine operation, or industrial maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to understand and follow written work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Machine Operator, Coating Operator, Production Operator, Manufacturing Technician, or similar industrial role.
- Experience with coating, laminating, slitting, converting, or production equipment preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify operational issues.
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
- Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work around industrial machinery and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Capable of maintaining focus and attention to detail in a production environment.
Job Duties
- Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust high-speed coating machinery to meet production goals and quality specifications.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing components.
- Inspect in-process and finished products to ensure coating consistency, accuracy, and defect-free quality.
- Complete production reports, machine logs, quality documentation, and output records.
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and staging of finished products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support production efficiency by communicating effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Provide guidance and training to helpers and entry-level operators to promote safe and efficient manufacturing operations.
