What You Will Do
As a Kitting Associate you will select, count, organize, and stage parts and materials needed for production, assembly, or customer orders. You will follow bills of materials, work orders, pick lists, or kit instructions; verify part numbers and quantities; label completed kits; update inventory records; use scanners or warehouse systems; identify shortages or discrepancies; and help ensure complete, accurate kits are delivered where they are needed on time.
The Kitting Associate is responsible for preparing complete groups of parts and materials according to production requirements. This role requires dependable work habits, strong attention to detail, and the ability to accurately interpret inventory and production documentation.
Successful Kitting Associate professionals understand part identification, inventory management, material handling, and kit verification while supporting efficient production schedules. Accuracy and consistency are essential because incomplete or incorrect kits can interrupt downstream operations.
