We’re hiring an Industrial Painter / Blaster to help prepare and finish metal parts used in our operations. This role focuses on both surface preparation and applying protective coatings.

Job Duties

• As a Painter, you will apply paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to interior and exterior surfaces, equipment, fixtures, and other structures to improve their appearance and provide protection from wear and environmental conditions.
• A significant portion of your time in the Paint Department will be spent working in the Blast Booth.
• While performing blasting duties, you will be required to wear a fully enclosed protective suit with a supplied-air respirator to ensure your safety.
• You will review work orders and follow instructions provided by your supervisor regarding painting and surface preparation tasks.
• Before painting, you will prepare surfaces by sanding, brushing, or using steel wool to create a smooth finish.
• You may also remove old paint, coatings, or debris using tools such as scrapers, wire brushes, paint removers, or other approved methods to ensure surfaces are properly prepared for painting.
• Apply coatings such as paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to protect and finish surfaces.
• Work primarily in a blast booth to remove rust, old paint, and debris from metal parts.
• Prepare surfaces using sandpaper, brushes, steel wool, scrapers, or other tools.
• Follow work orders and instructions from supervisors to complete jobs accurately.
• Ensure surfaces are clean and smooth before painting.
