Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred unless otherwise specified.
- Additional education, certifications, or vocational training may be beneficial depending on the position.
Job Duties
- Assist the purchasing team with ordering materials, supplies, and products.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records.
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, order status, and delivery dates.
- Review inventory levels and assist with identifying replenishment needs.
- Track orders and follow up with vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
- Verify pricing, quantities, and product information on purchase orders and invoices.
- Enter and maintain purchasing and inventory data in company systems.
- Assist with resolving discrepancies involving orders, shipments, invoices, or damaged materials.
- Maintain organized vendor files and purchasing documentation.
- Work closely with warehouse, sales, accounting, and management teams.
- Perform general administrative duties to support the purchasing department.

- Ability to learn new processes, procedures, equipment, or software as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous purchasing, procurement, inventory, administrative, or office experience preferred.
- Experience working in fast-paced, customer-focused administrative, or professional environments is beneficial
- Strong data-entry and record-keeping skills.
- Individuals who demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are well positioned for success as a Purchasing Assistant.
