The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for supporting shipping and receiving operations by performing clerical and administrative tasks that ensure accuracy and efficiency. Job Duties

  • Process and verify shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading and packing lists.
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments in the system.
  • Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and warehouse teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
  • Prepare shipping labels, manifests, and other required documentation.
  • Perform data entry and update shipment statuses in the system.
  • Assist with inventory checks, reporting, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and warehouse personnel regarding shipment priorities and discrepancies.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

  • Experience receiving, storing, picking, packing, or shipping products in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to accurately complete shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment following company procedures.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and inventory accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanners, or inventory software is preferred.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment is beneficial.
  • Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, or order fulfillment is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate dependability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are well positioned for success as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics administration preferred.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills (experience with WMS or ERP systems a plus).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely load, unload, and organize products in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and production conditions as required.
