Location: Wood Dale, IL
Pay Rate: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Job Duties
- Utilizing email, Microsoft Teams, phone calls, and in-person conversations to manage business communications and address relevant issues, including but not limited to export shipments.
- Scheduling pickups for the ocean export shipment
- Booking the ocean export shipment with the ocean carriers and co-loaders
- Creating and correcting the ocean bill of lading and related required documents
- Issuing freight invoices for the ocean export shipments
- Sending pre-alerts to customers and overseas offices
- Completing all required internal and external training programs.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Additional customer service, business, or office training is beneficial.
Experience Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide professional, courteous, and solution-focused customer service.
- Experience using computers, business software, and data entry systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service, call center, retail, office support, or administrative experience is preferred.
- Experience working with CRM software, order processing systems, or customer databases is beneficial.
- Bilingual communication skills may be considered an asset depending on the position.
- Individuals who demonstrate patience, professionalism, adaptability, and excellent communication skills are well positioned for success as a Ocean Export Operations Agent.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to remain seated or stand for extended periods while assisting customers.
- Frequent use of computers, telephones, and standard office equipment.
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and business partners.
- Ability to perform repetitive keyboard and data entry tasks throughout the workday.
