Location: Des Plaines, IL
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30 pm

Job Duties
- Communication with external customers via phone and email regarding order status, shipping information, billing, or other items required by the customer.
- Data Entry into Excel and/or the customer’s database.
- Dispatch drivers for U.S. domestic shipment pick-ups and deliveries.
- Data Entry and Customer Service.
- Support and notify drivers of pick-up and delivery assignments.
- Will communicate with Drivers and Internal staff on shipments.
- Will be required to provide email communication both to internal and external customers.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Additional customer service, business, or office training is beneficial.
Experience Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide professional, courteous, and solution-focused customer service.
- Experience using computers, business software, and data entry systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service, call center, retail, office support, or administrative experience is preferred.
- Experience working with CRM software, order processing systems, or customer databases is beneficial.
- Bilingual communication skills may be considered an asset depending on the position.
- Individuals who demonstrate patience, professionalism, adaptability, and excellent communication skills are well positioned for success as a Customer Service Representative.
- Previous Dispatch experience (local trucking/logistics) required – 1 to 2 years minimum
- Strong typing skills and Outlook & Excel – must be able to type 45 to 50 WPM
- Candidate must possess a strong working knowledge of Chicago’s geographic layout in order to effectively dispatch drivers.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to remain seated or stand for extended periods while assisting customers.
- Frequent use of computers, telephones, and standard office equipment.
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and business partners.
- Ability to perform repetitive keyboard and data entry tasks throughout the workday.
