Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Additional coursework or education in accounting, bookkeeping, business, or finance is beneficial.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum two years of medical billing experience preferred
- Experience researching unpaid claims and claim denials
- Knowledge of physician billing and healthcare reimbursement
- Medicare and Medicaid experience preferred
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer systems
- Review ETM worklists to identify and resolve billing issues
- Contact insurance carriers regarding unpaid claims
- Research claim denials and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable
- Monitor AR trends and report recurring claim-processing errors
- Maintain knowledge of ETM billing systems and processes
- Communicate with supervisors regarding adjustments, denials, and claim concerns
- Participate in monthly department meetings
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or office administration experience is preferred.
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar business systems is beneficial.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, financial recordkeeping, or reconciliation procedures is considered an asset.
- Individuals who demonstrate professionalism, dependability, accuracy, and strong organizational skills are well positioned for success as a Accounts Receivable Specialist.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to remain seated and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to review financial documents and enter data accurately.
- Ability to occasionally lift office materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform normal office duties while maintaining attention to detail throughout the workday.

What You Will Do
As a Accounts Receivable Specialist you will process invoices, maintain financial records, enter accounting data, reconcile transactions, prepare reports, organize documentation, assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, support payroll or billing functions as assigned, and help ensure accurate, timely financial recordkeeping while following established accounting procedures.
The Accounts Receivable Specialist supports accounting operations by processing financial information, maintaining records, and assisting with day-to-day accounting activities. This role requires organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities accurately.
