Location: Abilene, TX
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Thursday 8a-5p and Friday 8a-3p

Staffmark Abilene is seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to be the first point of contact for visitors, applicants, and callers. If you enjoy customer service, office support, and creating a positive experience for others, this is a great opportunity to build your administrative skills in a fast-paced environment. Job Duties- Answer and route incoming phone calls
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate department
- Assist applicants and maintain job application files
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages
- Maintain a clean and organized lobby, copy room, and break room
- Enter data, maintain records, and complete clerical tasks
- Record messages and provide basic information to callers
- Assist with postage meter issues and mail processing
- Support other administrative projects as assigned
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree, business coursework, or administrative support training preferred.
Experience Requirements
- At least one year of administrative, office support, receptionist, or clerical experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common office software.
- Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting multiple departments or executive staff is beneficial.
- Experience with scheduling, document preparation, recordkeeping, and office coordination is preferred.
- Familiarity with business software, office equipment, and data entry systems is considered an asset.
- Individuals who demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and professionalism are well positioned for success as a Administrative Receptionist.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to remain seated or stand for extended periods while performing office tasks.
- Frequent use of computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment.
- Occasional lifting or moving of office supplies and materials up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and visitors.
