Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic computer skills required for dispatch systems, inventory tracking, and documentation.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Experience Requirements
- 1+ years of experience.
- Previous experience operating a Bobcat, skid steer, or similar heavy equipment preferred.
- Experience in industrial, construction, terminal, bulk material handling, cement, aggregate, or ready-mix concrete environments preferred.
- Mechanical maintenance, equipment repair, and troubleshooting experience strongly preferred.
- Experience maintaining inventory records, Bills of Lading, and shipping documentation is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical maintenance knowledge is a plus.
- Strong communication and customer service skills when interacting with drivers, contractors, and customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial setting.
- Reliable transportation, strong attendance, and flexibility to work overtime during peak seasons.
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around barges, terminals, and open water.
- Capable of standing, walking, climbing, bending, and performing physical labor throughout the shift.
- Ability to safely work around heavy equipment, moving machinery, and industrial materials.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move materials as required.
Job Duties
- Unload bulk materials from barges and load customer trucks efficiently and safely.
- Operate Bobcats and other authorized equipment to support terminal operations and material movement.
- Assist with basic equipment maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, Bills of Lading, and operational documentation.
- Coordinate daily terminal activities, communicate with customers and drivers, maintain a clean worksite, and follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
