Salary: $97,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:45 PM

Education Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Additional technical training in welding, fabrication, or related field preferred
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) through the American Welding Society required
- 10+ years of related quality control experience in structural steel fabrication
- Thorough knowledge of fabrication standards, welding procedures, codes, and industry regulations
- Experience with AISC standards, audits, and quality assurance programs
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications
- Inspect shop production daily to ensure compliance with contract specifications
- Track repairs, non-conformance reports, corrective actions, and quality metrics
- Submit weld submittals and develop new weld procedures
- Verify incoming materials, parts, and consumables meet quality requirements
- Review structural drawings and prepare RFIs prior to project kickoff
- Coordinate inspections with shop leadership and third-party inspectors
- Conduct welder qualification testing and maintain certification records
- Prepare for and support annual AISC audits
- Perform dimensional, visual, paint, and weld inspections
- Maintain inspection records and quality documentation
- Identify drawing discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with project teams
- Support production teams with quality standards, specifications, and fabrication requirements
- Ability to walk the shop floor for extended periods
- Ability to inspect welds, fabricated materials, and finished products
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and climb as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and fabrication environment
