Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Technical, vocational, or trade school training in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or mechanical repair preferred
  • Ongoing maintenance and safety training encouraged

Experience Requirements

  • Previous industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machines, forklifts, welders, and production equipment
  • Knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems up to 480 volts
  • Experience repairing cranes, hoists, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, motors, and controls
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Beamline machines, Plasma Tables, and Plate Processors
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and equipment inspections
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and meet production demands
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment, tools, and parts as required
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in industrial environments
  • Comfortable working around machinery, electrical systems, and moving equipment
  • Ability to perform maintenance tasks in varying plant conditions

Job Duties

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines and manufacturing equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance on forklifts, welders, vehicles, trailers, cranes, and hoists
  • Inspect facility equipment and identify maintenance needs
  • Repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production leadership
  • Recommend improvements to increase equipment performance and reliability
  • Maintain maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Support production operations by minimizing equipment downtime
  • Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned

What You Will Do

As a Maintenance Mechanic you will inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production machinery, mechanical systems, and facility equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, replace worn components, make mechanical adjustments, document completed work, identify equipment concerns, and collaborate with production and maintenance teams to reduce downtime while supporting safe, reliable operations.

A Maintenance Mechanic supports manufacturing and facility operations by maintaining mechanical equipment, identifying potential failures, and restoring machinery to proper operating condition. This role combines technical ability with organization, safety awareness, and attention to detail.

The Maintenance Mechanic works with motors, conveyors, bearings, belts, pumps, and other mechanical components while applying effective troubleshooting and repair practices. Reliable performance helps minimize interruptions and maintain productivity.
