Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic math skills required for measurements, calculations, and quality inspections.
- Ability to read and follow production instructions, work orders, and safety procedures.
- Blueprint reading experience preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Previous machine operator experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.
- Experience operating machines such as lathes, mills, drills, presses, or CNC equipment.
- Ability to perform machine setups, fixture installation, and production adjustments.
- Experience using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing safety and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation skills.
- Experience working with cranes, hoists, or material handling equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality parts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements throughout the shift.
- Ability to safely maneuver large or heavy materials using cranes, lifting devices, or team lifting procedures.
- Must be able to wear required PPE and work safely around manufacturing equipment.
Job Duties
- Follow production instructions, process sheets, blueprints, and supervisor directions to complete manufacturing operations.
- Set up and operate lathes, mills, drills, presses, CNC machines, and other production equipment according to specifications.
- Install, align, and secure machine fixtures, dies, punches, blades, and tooling for safe and efficient operation.
- Monitor machine performance and production processes to ensure quality and efficiency standards are met.
- Inspect finished products using precision measuring equipment to verify specifications and tolerances.
- Perform basic machine adjustments and report equipment or quality issues as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures, housekeeping requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist other departments as needed to support production goals.

What You Will Do
As a Production Operator you will operate, monitor, adjust, and maintain manufacturing equipment to produce quality products according to production schedules and established procedures. You will inspect finished products, replenish materials, identify equipment issues, perform routine machine checks, maintain production records, and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
Follow production instructions: Follow production instructions and tasks from process sheets, blueprints, or verbal directions provided by the supervisor to achieve desired outcomes in the manufacturing process. Install machine fixtures: Align and secure dies, punches, blades, or other fixtures to ensure the machine operates safely. Operate machinery: Set up and operate machines such as lathes, mills, drills, presses, and CNC machines according to specifications. Inspect operations: Monitor the production process to ensure the machines function correctly and product meet quality standards. Perform inspections and measurements of finished products to verify they meet specified tolerances and quality standards, using tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Adhere to cleanliness and safety protocols: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety regulations. Use a crane or buddy system to maneuver large, awkward, or heavy parts. Ensure that the work area is clean and organized. Perform other duties: Assist in other areas or departments as needed.
