Location: Dallas, TX
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

Hiring Production Shop Laborers to assist with increased wood flooring and custom flooring production orders. This is a hands-on position working inside the shop, assisting with the production and preparation of custom wood flooring products and supporting the production team with general labor duties.

Job Duties

  • Assist with wood flooring and custom flooring production
  • Help prepare, handle, and move wood materials
  • Assist with cutting, sanding, finishing, and other production tasks as needed
  • Move and organize materials and equipment
  • Support production workers with daily shop duties
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow instructions and safety procedures

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or production training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

  • Ability to work safely in manufacturing and production environments.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions, production procedures, and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain productivity and consistent quality.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate basic production equipment when required.
  • Dependable attendance, teamwork, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, warehouse, or industrial experience is preferred.
  • Experience operating production equipment, performing quality inspections, or meeting production goals is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement practices, or workplace safety procedures is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are well positioned for success as a Shop Helper.
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Comfortable with physical, hands-on work
  • Comfortable working around wood, tools, and production equipment
  • Able to work in a fast-paced shop environment
  • Willing to learn custom flooring production processes
  • Previous construction, woodworking, flooring, or production experience is a plus

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate around production equipment and moving machinery.
  • Ability to maintain productivity while working in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
