Education Requirements- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and repair documentation.
- Technical training, trade school certification, or maintenance-related education is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery and production equipment.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic tools.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting, conveyors, packaging equipment, automated systems, welding, or fabrication is a plus.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, climb, and reach throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and moving machinery.
- Ability to respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
- Repair and maintain conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and other industrial machinery.
- Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues before failures occur.
- Respond to machine breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to keep production running efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
- Complete maintenance logs, work orders, and repair documentation accurately.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
- Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area.
