Education Requirements- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school certification, associate degree, or electrical apprenticeship preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, motor controls, PLCs, and industrial automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Experience using electrical testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and electrical safety practices.
- PLC troubleshooting and programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) preferred.
- Experience with VFDs, servo drives, automated production equipment, and instrumentation.
- Preventive and predictive maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) preferred.
Job Duties
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and control system failures.
- Install, maintain, and repair motors, transformers, control panels, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, and related equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Conduct inspections, testing, calibration, and diagnostics using electrical testing equipment.
- Replace defective wiring, relays, breakers, switches, motors, and other electrical components.
- Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs as needed.
- Follow all OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and company safety standards

What You Will DoAs an Electrical Maintenance Technician you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, replace worn components, document completed work, and work closely with production and operations teams to minimize downtime while maintaining quality and safety standards.
The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the long-term performance of equipment through inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. This role requires technical knowledge, mechanical skill, and a proactive approach to equipment reliability.
Successful Electrical Maintenance Technician professionals use diagnostic thinking and practical experience to identify maintenance needs, complete repairs, and support continuous improvement efforts throughout the workplace. Strong communication and teamwork help ensure maintenance activities support operational goals.
