Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Technical training in CNC machining, manufacturing, or fabrication preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and production drawings

Experience Requirements

• 2-5 years of CNC setup and operation experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or job shop environment
• Experience operating CNC routers, mills, lathes, plasma cutters, or similar equipment
• Experience using precision measuring instruments for quality inspections
• Working knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming
• Understanding of geometric dimensioning and manufacturing tolerances
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of material optimization and nesting techniques to reduce waste
• Ability to work independently while maintaining production and quality standards

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequently lift, move, and handle materials weighing 50+ pounds
• Ability to safely operate machinery and power tools
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toed boots

Job Duties

• Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC routers, mills, lathes, and other fabrication equipment
• Read blueprints, CAD/CAM files, and production orders to determine machine settings and tool paths
• Program machine speeds, feeds, and cutting operations to meet production requirements
• Optimize material layouts to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other precision tools
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Monitor raw material inventory and stage completed components for assembly and installation teams
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

What You Will Do

As a CNC Machinist you will set up, operate, monitor, and adjust CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision components according to engineering specifications.
