Location: Johnson City, TN
Pay Rate: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
Schedule: 6am-4pm

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school, vocational training, or industrial maintenance certification preferred.

Job Duties
  • Assist with routine preventive maintenance, repairs and installations of equipment and fixtures
  • Perform regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify issues and ensure proper function
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner
  • Maintain clean, organized maintenance areas, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored
  • Communicate ongoing tasks and potential issues to the maintenance supervisor regularly
Experience Requirements
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic equipment.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, blueprints, or equipment documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and preventative maintenance practices.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, welding and machinery, along with hand and power tools.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical environment is preferred.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment breakdowns is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or fabrication is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Maintenance Technician.

Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
  • Manual dexterity to operate tools, perform repairs, and inspect equipment.
  • Lift up to pounds

What You Will Do

As a Maintenance Technician you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, replace worn components, document completed work, and work closely with production and operations teams to minimize downtime while maintaining quality and safety standards.

A Maintenance Technician provides the technical support necessary to keep equipment, machinery, and facility systems functioning properly. The position requires strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to perform repairs safely and efficiently.

The Maintenance Technician works with a wide range of equipment while applying preventative maintenance practices and sound technical judgment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail help ensure maintenance activities are completed accurately.
