Pay Rate: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8 AM – 5 PM

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • HVAC Certification preferred.
  • EPA Certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
  • Ability to read work orders, technical manuals, and repair diagrams.
  • Basic computer and recordkeeping skills are helpful.
Experience Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Apartment Maintenance Technician, Facilities Maintenance Technician, or Building Maintenance Technician.
  • Experience with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical repairs, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with residents, vendors, and team members.
  • Customer service experience and a professional attitude when responding to maintenance requests.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors or contractors is a plus.
Physical Capabilities
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull maintenance tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and maintenance systems safely.
  • Ability to inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment in tight spaces and elevated areas when needed.
Job Duties
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on apartment homes, common areas, and building systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical components, appliances, lighting, and fixtures.
  • Complete service requests accurately, safely, and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment, appliances, and building systems.
  • Replace filters, perform minor painting, and support general property upkeep.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, repairs, and inspections.
  • Coordinate and monitor outside contractors performing specialized repairs.
  • Follow safety procedures and company maintenance standards.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while interacting with residents and team members.

What You Will Do

As a Maintenance Helper you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, replace worn components, document completed work, and work closely with production and operations teams to minimize downtime while maintaining quality and safety standards.
