Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM Start Time | Approximate End Time: 9:00 PM-10:00 PM

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements
  • Previous clamp truck operation experience preferred
  • Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment
Job Duties
  • Operate a sit down clamp truck in the appliance division
  • Handle and transport appliance products safely and efficiently
  • Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the facility
  • Follow inventory control and warehouse procedures
  • Perform equipment inspections and report any issues
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Support production and shipping operations as needed
  • Meet productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
  • Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
  • Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Sit Down Clamp Operator.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.

What You Will Do

As a Sit Down Clamp Operator you will safely operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, stack, and organize materials throughout warehouse and manufacturing operations. You will inspect equipment before use, replenish inventory locations, support shipping and receiving activities, verify product movement, maintain inventory accuracy, and help ensure safe, efficient material handling throughout the facility.

A Sit Down Clamp Operator helps maintain efficient warehouse operations by safely moving products between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas. This role requires equipment operation skills, organizational ability, and safe work habits.

The Sit Down Clamp Operator combines forklift operation with inventory awareness and warehouse procedures to help ensure products are moved accurately and efficiently throughout daily operations.
