Work
Schedules:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Standard business hours; schedule
flexibility required for regional travel and client visits)

 

Summary:

An
industry-leading provider of industrial fasteners and supply chain solutions is
seeking an experienced Strategic Outside Sales Representative to join their
team in Lenexa, Kansas. This specialized role focuses on driving revenue growth
and expanding market share within the agricultural, industrial, construction,
and recreational vehicle sectors. The ideal candidate will possess deep
expertise in industrial fastener sales, leveraging product knowledge and client
management skills to deliver tailored component and assembly solutions across a
regional territory.

 

Essential
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Direct
    regional outside sales efforts, prospecting and securing new commercial
    accounts within the agricultural, heavy industrial, construction, and
    recreational vehicle manufacturing markets.
  • Position
    industrial fasteners along with value-added kitted product solutions to
    meet specific client operational and assembly requirements.
  • Manage
    customer accounts through proactive, on-site client visits, online
    supplier portal administration, and direct communication.
  • Travel
    regularly throughout the assigned territory to build long-term client
    relationships and assess client technical requirements.
  • Lead
    market sourcing for customer RFQs and formulate competitive pricing using
    corporate calculation models and standardized workflows.
  • Identify
    industry trends and collaborate with leadership to execute targeted entry
    strategies into emerging market segments.
  • Negotiate
    pricing with suppliers, identify cost-down initiatives, and recommend
    kitting strategies to optimize client inventory.
  • Partner
    with Purchasing and Operations to coordinate engineering change notices,
    establish break-point delivery schedules, and clear obsolete inventory.
  • Facilitate
    cross-departmental communications to ensure accurate order fulfillment and
    alignment across all internal teams.
  • Provide
    key product and sourcing data to support Advanced Product Quality Planning
    (APQP) during new product launches.

 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Proven
    outside sales experience specifically within the industrial fasteners
    industry.
  • Demonstrated
    track record selling into at least one primary target market: Agriculture,
    Industrial, Construction, or Recreational Vehicles.
  • Bachelor’s
    Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Supply Chain Management, or a
    related field (or equivalent professional industry experience).
  • Willingness
    and ability to travel frequently across a geographically distributed
    territory.
  • Proficiency
    with technical sales software, CRM tools, and general business
    applications.
  • Strong
    negotiation, client relationship management, and strategic account
    development skills.

Preferred:

  • Direct
    experience selling kitting solutions, custom product packaging, or bundled
    supply chain assemblies.
  • Prior
    experience managing vendor relationships, subcontractor cost-reduction
    projects, and APQP product launch activity.
