Schedule: 1st Shift | 6 AM – 4:30 PM | Monday – Thursday (OT Friday as needed)

Job Duties
- Perform MIG welding, multi-pass welding (1.5″ to 4″), metal fabrication, fit-up, layout, cutting, and assembly of custom mobile material handling equipment for rail industry applications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, BOMs, schematics, and engineering drawings to fabricate and assemble components accurately.
- Determine welding sequences, machine settings, electrode selection, and fabrication methods to meet production and quality standards.
- Inspect welds and finished products, verify measurements, and maintain compliance with safety, quality, and Quality Management System requirements.
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, gas systems, and workstations while supporting 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering, production teams, and quality personnel to meet deadlines, resolve issues, and deliver high-quality custom-built equipment.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certified Welder credential preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures, technical specifications, and safety instructions in English.
Experience Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a custom fabrication, manufacturing, or heavy equipment production environment preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of MIG welding experience preferred, including multi-pass welding on heavy-gauge steel.
- Proven ability to read blueprints, bills of materials (BOMs), schematics, and 3D drawings.
- Experience using hand tools, measuring equipment, cranes, and fabrication machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to lift, position, and handle heavy materials using proper equipment and safe work practices.
- Capable of standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and performing repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and perform physically demanding welding and fabrication tasks.
- Must be able to safely operate overhead jib cranes and perform hitching as required.
- Demonstrated strength, stamina, and attention to detail while maintaining quality workmanship.
