Education Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Technical training in manufacturing, electronics assembly, or related fields preferred.
- Basic computer skills required for production documentation and work order processing.
- IPC 610/620 and J-STD-001 certifications are preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly, cable assembly, wire harness manufacturing, or electronics production.
- Experience interpreting blueprints, work instructions, assembly drawings, and production documentation.
- Soldering, IPC 610, J-STD 001 experience.
- Proficiency using hand tools, measuring devices, microscopes, soldering equipment, and assembly fixtures.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately perform measurements and quality inspections.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Capabilities
- Regular use of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precision assembly tasks.
- Ability to distinguish colors for wiring, cable identification, and quality verification.
- Close vision required for detailed assembly, soldering, and inspection work.
- Ability to sit for extended periods at a workstation.
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, or move materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
Job Duties
- Assemble wire harnesses, cable assemblies, box builds, kits, and electro-mechanical products from start to finish.
- Perform manufacturing processes including wire cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, heat shrinking, potting, connector assembly, continuity testing, and pin extraction.
- Build products according to work orders, engineering drawings, customer specifications, and production documentation.
- Support quality management systems (QMS) and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure product quality and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accuracy, productivity, and compliance with manufacturing standards while working independently under indirect supervision.
- Perform special projects and additional production-related duties as assigned.
