Location: City Of Industry, CA
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

In City Of Industry, we’re looking for a Freight Coordinator who knows how to get things done with a smile. You’ll support daily freight operations, driver dispatching, and shipment tracking activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced transportation environment and enjoys coordinating with drivers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure on-time deliveries.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Transportation, logistics, or supply chain coursework is a plus
- 1–3 years of dispatching, transportation, logistics, or freight coordination experience preferred
- Experience with TMS (Transportation Management Systems) preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize time-sensitive assignments
- Positive attitude with a team-oriented approach
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Schedule, dispatch, and monitor drivers for inbound and outbound freight deliveries
- Plan efficient transportation routes to support on-time performance
- Adjust schedules and routing plans to address delays and service issues
- Coordinate load preparation and shipping activities with warehouse teams
- Track freight movements and provide shipment updates to customers and internal departments
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers regarding routes, schedules, and load information
- Communicate service concerns proactively and implement solutions
- Build strong working relationships with drivers, carriers, vendors, and customers
- Enter and maintain dispatch records, load details, and status updates within company systems
- Support daily transportation, logistics, and freight operations
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to remain seated or stand for extended periods while performing office tasks.
- Frequent use of computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment.
- Occasional lifting or moving of office supplies and materials up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and visitors.
