Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school, machining certificate, or CNC programming education preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CMM programming experience using ZEISS Calypso software
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
- Experience working with CAD models and technical specifications
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, or similar quality standards preferred
- Excellent attendance and reliability required
- Positive team-player attitude with strong communication skills
- Create, modify, and optimize CMM inspection programs using ZEISS Calypso
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured components
- Set up and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements
- Analyze inspection data and generate detailed measurement reports
- Troubleshoot CMM programs and equipment to improve efficiency
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to resolve quality concerns
- Maintain revision-controlled inspection documentation
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions for dimensional nonconformance
- Perform routine CMM maintenance and calibration verification
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work around machining equipment throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift materials, tooling, and components weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity to safely operate CNC machinery and precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to work safely around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.

What You Will DoAs a CMM Programmer you will set up, operate, monitor, and adjust CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision components according to engineering specifications. You will verify machine setups, inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, troubleshoot machining issues, maintain tooling, and support quality and production goals while following established safety and manufacturing procedures.
A CMM Programmer produces precision parts through the operation of advanced CNC machining equipment. This role requires technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain accuracy throughout every stage of the machining process.
The CMM Programmer combines blueprint interpretation, machine setup, tooling knowledge, and precision inspection techniques to manufacture quality components. Successful candidates understand the importance of consistency, safety, and attention to detail.
