Job Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair of commercial building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general facilities equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues, completing work orders safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.
- Conduct plumbing repairs, electrical maintenance, lighting replacements, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and general building upkeep.
- Perform routine facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure operational readiness.
- Travel between commercial customer locations using a company-provided vehicle and tools.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding service updates, repairs, and project timelines.
- Document inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities using maintenance software and mobile devices.
- Order materials, maintain inventory, and follow OSHA and company safety procedures.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical training, vocational certification, or coursework in facilities maintenance, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or a related skilled trade preferred.
- OSHA safety training or industry certifications are a plus.
Experience Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in commercial facilities maintenance, building maintenance, property maintenance, or industrial maintenance.
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and general building maintenance.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems.
- HVAC maintenance experience or exposure to commercial mechanical equipment preferred.
- Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), work order software, and handheld devices.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel between customer sites.
- Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
- Capable of performing physically demanding maintenance tasks while maintaining quality workmanship and safety standards.

What You Will DoAs a Commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations.
