Now hiring for an AutoCAD Operator
Location: Memphis, TN
Pay Rate: $20.00+ per hour Depending on Experience
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree or technical degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of 2D AutoCAD experience required
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, weld symbols, and tolerances
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes preferred
- Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software preferred
- Familiarity with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar is a plus
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Job Duties
- Create detailed shop fabrication drawings using 2D AutoCAD
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation
- Utilize standard drafting symbols, tolerances, and weld notes
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) using PLM software
- Select purchased components based on project specifications
- Calculate material and part weights
- Support engineering teams with drawing revisions and documentation
- Track project schedules and ensure drafting deliverables are completed on time
- Maintain accuracy and compliance with design and manufacturing standards
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to sit and/or stand for up to 8 hours per day
- Frequent computer and keyboard use
- Ability to perform detailed visual inspection of drawings and documentation
- No lifting requirements associated with this position

What You Will DoAs a AutoCAD Operator you will operate, monitor, adjust, and maintain manufacturing equipment to produce quality products according to production schedules and established procedures. You will inspect finished products, replenish materials, identify equipment issues, perform routine machine checks, maintain production records, and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
The AutoCAD Operator helps transform materials into finished products through the safe operation of manufacturing equipment and careful attention to production quality. This role requires mechanical aptitude, consistency, and a commitment to workplace safety.
