Requirements

• Previous dispatch, transportation, or logistics experience preferred
• Strong customer-service and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently overnight
• Familiarity with AS400, PCS, TMS, RDS, or similar dispatch systems is a plus
• Reliable attendance and overnight availability
• Strong problem-solving skills

Job Duties

• Complete dispatch paperwork left by second shift
• Assign RDS stores to the correct drivers
• Issue and track driver keys
• Finalize outstanding stores in RDS
• Close pickups after receiving physical or emailed paperwork
• Contact drivers who exceed scheduled start times
• Notify stores of delays or late departures
• Update driver information on gate passes
• Add or remove stores from driver routes in AS400
• Print bills of lading
• Issue exception codes as needed
• Complete and distribute the overnight recap report
