Location: Valdosta, GA
Pay Rate: $30.00 – $32.00 per hour | First + Second Shift

This role combines hands-on CNC machining, programming, and team leadership while supporting daily machine shop operations. CNC Programmer Lead Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Technical training or machining certification preferred.

CNC Programmer Lead Experience Requirements
  • 2–3+ years of CNC machining experience required.
  • Experience operating CNC mills and lathes.
  • Strong CNC programming experience required.
  • Experience with Haas automation preferred.
  • Previous experience leading or managing CNC machinists required.
  • Experience overseeing daily machine shop operations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make process adjustments.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and support team productivity.

CNC Programmer Lead Job Duties
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC mill and lathe machines.
  • Manage and support a team of 3–5 CNC machinists.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to machine shop employees.
  • Monitor daily production activities and workflow.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure machines are operating safely and efficiently.
  • Review blueprints, specifications, and job requirements.
  • Make program adjustments to meet production and quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within the machine shop.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
CNC Programmer Lead Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout an 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work around CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to perform hands-on machining tasks requiring attention to detail.
  • Ability to wear required safety equipment, including steel-toe boots.
