Pay Rate: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour

We’re seeking a Accounts Receivable Clerk in Lafayette who enjoys tracking payments, logging transactions, and helping the team stay on top of deadlines. Organized? Detail-obsessed? You’re exactly who we want.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 1–3 years of accounts receivable, billing, or general accounting experience preferred
• Experience with ERP or billing systems required
• Proficiency with Google Sheets or similar spreadsheet software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Experience with contract-based billing preferred
• Strong problem-solving and collections skills

Job Duties:

• Create and maintain customer accounts within the ERP/billing system
• Enter and update customer demographic and account information accurately
• Review and process customer contracts in coordination with the sales team
• Communicate with sales representatives regarding contract updates and discrepancies
• Generate accurate customer invoices based on contract terms
• Perform collections activities, including contacting customers regarding outstanding balances
• Respond to customer inquiries related to invoices, payments, and account status
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
• Support monthly billing cycles, including recurring invoicing and account maintenance
• Maintain organized records using ERP systems and Google Sheets
• Assist with month-end accounts receivable closing activities
