Summary:

The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization’s operational and strategic projects from a data-driven perspective. This role will support strategic planning processes by gathering and analyzing data, evaluating business trends, and preparing reports to aid in decision-making. This role involves collaborating with various departments to align business objectives, improve efficiency, and optimize performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for organizing and analyzing data from various sources.
  • Able to extract valuable insights and create informative dashboards, reports, and presentations tailored for various stakeholders by utilizing advanced data analysis tools and software.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and other essential business metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Design data models for analysis and reporting that support operational business unit decisions and guide strategic direction.
  • Conducts thorough analyses of the company’s current performance, market trends, and industry benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to validate data extracted from operational systems for accuracy.
  • Provide valuable inputs for strategic planning and decision-making processes through the use of data models and forecasting techniques.
  • Offer insightful recommendations for potential business opportunities and cost-saving measures, ensuring that the organization remains competitive and efficient.
  • Works closely with various functional groups, including business management, field management, and account management teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Facilitate seamless coordination and alignment among different departments by fostering strong relationships and maintaining open lines of communication.
  • Identifying areas where business operations can be improved by leveraging their expertise in data analytics and process optimization
  • Propose innovative solutions and implement appropriate tools and systems to enhance productivity and streamline reporting procedures.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Master’s preferred.
  • Advanced SQL (2+ years professional experience), Jupyter Lab, Python.
  • Proficiency in analysis tools and software for dashboard development (such as SuperSet, Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
  • Familiarity with statistical testing, modeling, forecasting, and project management principles is beneficial. Knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP, is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and presentation abilities, are crucial for success in this position. Attention to detail and high organizational skills are equally important.
  • Analytical thinking, strategic planning, collaboration and teamwork, results-oriented mindset, and adaptability to change.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
  • Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel; Enterprise Application experience is a plus.
