These are the qualifications that matter.

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in a manufacturing environment, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and HSE management systems
• Experience in hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation
• Proven leadership ability with experience coaching and developing team members
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE reporting/management systems
• Ability to interact effectively with regulatory agencies, emergency responders, and cross-functional teams

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide direction to HSE staff, including coaching, development, and performance oversight
• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of HSE management systems aligned with OSHA, environmental regulations, and corporate standards
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Develop and oversee programs focused on hazard prevention, risk reduction, and environmental protection
• Review and approve job safety analyses (JSA), ergonomic assessments, and risk evaluations
• Conduct and oversee workplace inspections, audits, and monitoring activities, ensuring timely corrective actions
• Lead investigations for incidents, near-misses, and environmental events, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning
• Ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting, including OSHA logs and environmental submissions
• Support and lead Joint Health & Safety Committee initiatives
