Skills That Get You Hired 

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and computer skills
• Prior experience/knowledge of mailing requirements, equipment, and processes
• Advanced knowledge of USPS rules and regulations, and staying informed of any changes

On the Job

• Create and maintain a schedule for the department and communicate the expected time to start and complete tasks
• Maintain job production statuses
• Utilize quality control check procedures
• Schedule 3rd-party transportation services for mailings
• Review, follow, and question information provided – require clarity and consistency
• Be prepared to answer questions regarding jobs, as well as communicate material needs, to meet mailing drop dates
• Produce mailing production paperwork
• Monitor the Mailing Department inventory, and create purchase requisitions to replenish inventory
• Create reports and/or provide feedback to upper management
• Communicate with USPS
• Assist with mailing handwork functions, as needed
• Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for prolonged periods of
