What It Takes

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
• Experience in producing quality welds and using standard welding techniques (2+ years)
• Strong math and measurement skills for accurate fabrication
• Proficiency in using measuring tools and fabrication equipment
• Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to understand fabrication requirements
• Set up and adjust welding equipment and machine settings to achieve proper weld characteristics
• Weld and fabricate steel components according to specifications and applicable codes
• Inspect finished welds to ensure quality standards and requirements are met
• Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs, using an overhead crane hoist for heavier parts when required
• Troubleshoot welding or equipment issues during production
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform basic equipment care
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements while operating equipment and handling materials
