Schedule: Monday Night-Saturday Morning | Start Time: 7:00 PM | End Time: 4:00 AM

What You’ll Do

• Operate CDL-A yard trucks with hydraulic fifth-wheel systems
• Move 53′ dry van trailers and 48′ shipping containers throughout a closed-yard facility
• Complete approximately 45-50 trailer moves per shift
• Perform drop-and-hook trailer movements safely and efficiently
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Use handheld technology, two-way radios, and yard management systems to track trailer movements
• Coordinate trailer placement to support manufacturing and shipping operations
• Follow all company safety procedures and DOT regulations
• Maintain accurate records and communicate equipment concerns as needed

Experience Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license required
• Minimum of 1 year of CDL-A driving experience within the last 3 years
• Yard Hostler experience preferred
• Experience with LTL, package delivery, multi-stop routes, or yard operations preferred
• Experience using handheld devices, smartphones, dispatch systems, or yard management technology preferred
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
• Safety-focused with a strong commitment to accident prevention
• Dependable and able to work independently in a fast-paced yard environment

Driver Requirements

• Current DOT Medical Card
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registration completed
• Clear MVR
• No more than 3 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents within the last 3 years
• No DUI, reckless driving, or other major driving violations within the past 5 years
• Minimum age of 21 years old
• Ability to work overnight schedules and overtime as needed
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to safely perform frequent trailer moves, inspections, and yard operations
• Must successfully complete company training program, including classroom and operational training

Physical Capabilities

• Lift up to 60-65 pounds as needed
• Frequent walking throughout the shift
• On feet approximately 6-7 hours daily
• Frequent entry and exit from yard trucks
• Ability to open trailer doors, connect/disconnect air lines, and remove trailer security seals
• Comfortable working in an active outdoor yard environment

What You Will Do

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while safely operating a vehicle.
• Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift, move, or secure freight and materials when required by the assignment.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections and work safely in varying weather and road conditions.

Preferred Experience

• Previous professional driving, delivery, transportation, or logistics experience is preferred.
• Experience operating commercial vehicles, delivery trucks, box trucks, or tractor-trailers is beneficial depending on the assignment.
• Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs), GPS navigation, routing software, or transportation documentation is considered an asset.
