Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Basic math and measurement skills required.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.

• Entry-level position; warehouse, construction, landscaping, or lumber yard experience is a plus.
• Experience identifying different types and sizes of lumber preferred.
• Order pulling, material handling, or customer order fulfillment experience helpful.
• Must be dependable, motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to lift, carry, stack, and move lumber throughout the workday.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and manual material handling.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to accurately measure materials using a tape measure.
• Steel-toe boots required.

• Identify and sort various types and sizes of lumber accurately.
• Read and use a tape measure to verify product lengths and specifications.
• Pull customer orders and prepare materials for pickup or delivery.
• Stack, organize, and move lumber within the yard and storage areas.
• Assist customers and team members in locating and handling materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all company safety guidelines and material handling procedures.
• Support general yard and warehouse operations as needed.

What You Will Do

As a Lumber Puller you will perform responsibilities that support the daily operations of your assigned employer while following established procedures, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements. Duties may include operating equipment, working with customers, handling materials, preparing documentation, supporting administrative activities, using technology, collaborating with team members, or completing other responsibilities appropriate to the position. Successful Lumber Puller professionals demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing quality work while contributing to organizational success.
