Location: Scott, LA
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Duties- Assist with daily benefits administration and employee eligibility processes
- Enter and maintain employee benefit information in databases and insurance carrier websites
- Support new hire enrollments, payroll deduction changes, and insurance eligibility updates
- Answer employee benefit inquiries and resolve insurance-related issues with carriers and third-party administrators
- Coordinate and assist with open enrollment activities
- Support payroll with benefit deductions, changes, and employee requests
- Perform insurance billing activities and maintain accurate records
- Scan, file, shred, and organize confidential documents
- Provide receptionist phone coverage when needed
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree, business coursework, or administrative support training preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Experience with Sage Payroll Systems required
- Knowledge of employee benefits administration and insurance processes
- Understanding of medical terminology and basic accounting practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for Windows, including Word, Excel, and Adobe
- Strong customer service and administrative experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting multiple departments or executive staff is beneficial.
- Experience with scheduling, document preparation, recordkeeping, and office coordination is preferred.
- Familiarity with business software, office equipment, and data entry systems is considered an asset.
- Individuals who demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and professionalism are well positioned for success as a Benefits Manager Assistant.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to remain seated or stand for extended periods while performing office tasks.
- Frequent use of computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment.
- Occasional lifting or moving of office supplies and materials up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and visitors.
