Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read work instructions, shipping documents, packing slips, invoices, and inventory records.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory transactions.

Experience Requirements

• 1+ years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, material handling, or logistics experience preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or material-moving equipment.
• Familiarity with inventory control systems, shipping documentation, and receiving processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
• Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems such as Oracle.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials throughout the shift.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving inventory.
• Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment and work in a warehouse environment.

Job Duties

• Receive, inspect, count, weigh, and verify incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders, bills of lading, and shipping records.
• Pack, label, crate, and prepare products for shipment using approved packaging methods and materials.
• Unload incoming deliveries, inspect for damage or shortages, and process receipts in inventory systems.
• Route materials to appropriate departments and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Determine shipping methods and ensure all outbound shipments meet customer and company specifications.
• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment to transport products throughout the facility.
• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and support warehouse organization through 5S and continuous improvement practices.
• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures to support on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

What You Will Do

As a Material Handler you will receive, move, stage, load, unload, organize, and transport materials throughout warehouse or manufacturing operations. You will verify inventory, maintain accurate product locations, prepare materials for production or shipment, assist with inventory control, and help ensure safe, efficient movement of products while following established workplace procedures.

The Material Handler plays an important role in warehouse and manufacturing environments by ensuring materials move safely and efficiently throughout daily operations. This position requires organization, physical stamina, and attention to detail.

Successful Material Handler candidates understand material flow, inventory procedures, workplace safety, and warehouse organization while supporting production schedules and customer fulfillment. Consistent performance contributes directly to operational efficiency.
