Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred unless otherwise specified.
- Additional education, certifications, or vocational training may be beneficial depending on the position.
Experience Requirements
- Escrow experience handling residential and/or commercial transactions
- Demonstrated book of business or strong local client relationships preferred
- Experience managing escrow transactions from opening through closing
Job Duties
- Manage the full lifecycle of residential and commercial escrow files
- Review title commitments, purchase agreements, and loan documents
- Prepare closing statements, deeds, and escrow instructions
- Serve as the primary point of contact for buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, attorneys, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate escrow funds, earnest money deposits, loan proceeds, and disbursements
- Resolve title defects, boundary issues, and closing discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with state and federal escrow regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate records while meeting critical closing deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a related industry or similar position is preferred.
- Experience working in fast-paced, customer-focused, manufacturing, warehouse, administrative, or professional environments is beneficial depending on the assignment.
- Relevant certifications, technical training, or specialized skills are considered an asset.
- Individuals who demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are well positioned for success as a Escrow Assistant.
