Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Personal toolbox required
  • Foreman or lead mechanic experience preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management abilities
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork

Job Duties

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment to minimize downtime
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and service documentation
  • Manage an assigned fleet, including maintenance scheduling, parts coordination, and repair documentation
  • Utilize maintenance management systems to track repairs and work orders
  • Communicate repair status, timelines, and recommendations with customers and internal teams
  • Order and coordinate parts needed for repairs and maintenance
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate service records and complete required documentation
  • Perform additional maintenance and repair duties as assigned

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic you will inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production machinery, mechanical systems, and facility equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, replace worn components, make mechanical adjustments, document completed work, identify equipment concerns, and collaborate with production and maintenance teams to reduce downtime while supporting safe, reliable operations.
