Location: Bessemer, AL
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: 7 AM-3:30 PM, Monday – Friday

Job Duties

  • Light sanding / grinding on welded spots and cut edges.
  • Hang Items on powder coat racks and scrape off debris.
  • Steam clean / rinse and bake off water in an industrial powder coat oven.
  • Powder coat items with hand held powder paint gun.
  • Bake painted parts in an industrial powder coat oven.
  • Clean out powder coat gun and booth for each color change.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or production training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

  • Ability to work safely in manufacturing and production environments.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions, production procedures, and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain productivity and consistent quality.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate basic production equipment when required.
  • Dependable attendance, teamwork, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, warehouse, or industrial experience is preferred.
  • Experience operating production equipment, performing quality inspections, or meeting production goals is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement practices, or workplace safety procedures is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are well positioned for success as a Powder Coat Painter.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate around production equipment and moving machinery.
  • Ability to maintain productivity while working in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
  • · Be able to lift pounds.
  • · Be able to move parts in and out of work areas.

What You Will Do

As a Powder Coat Painter you will support daily manufacturing operations by assembling products, operating production equipment, inspecting finished goods, packaging materials, maintaining production standards, and following established work instructions. You will help keep production areas clean and organized, monitor product quality, meet production goals, and contribute to safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
