Pay Rate: $17.74 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:15 PM–11:45 PM

Staffmark is hiring a Production Forklift Operator for a growing manufacturing facility. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for candidates with warehouse or manufacturing experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements
  • 1+ year of manufacturing or warehouse experience required
  • Previous forklift experience preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Knowledge of quality and safety standards preferred
Job Duties
  • Operate a forklift to move materials and finished products
  • Pack products accurately and efficiently
  • Inspect products for quality defects
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Assist production teams and support daily operations
  • Follow all safety, quality, and 5S procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
  • Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
  • Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Production Forklift Operator.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Strong sense of urgency with a “get it done” attitude.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
  • Ability to lift up to pounds as required.

What You Will Do

As a Production Forklift Operator you will safely operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, stack, and organize materials throughout warehouse and manufacturing operations. You will inspect equipment before use, replenish inventory locations, support shipping and receiving activities, verify product movement, maintain inventory accuracy, and help ensure safe, efficient material handling throughout the facility.

Pack products accurately and efficiently to meet production requirements. Collaborate closely with production teams and other departments. Maintain a high regard for 5S and workplace organization standards. Troubleshoot production issues and respond effectively to changing situations. Monitor and report on the quality of manufactured products. Consistently move product and place it in designated pack-out locations throughout the shift. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times.

The Production Forklift Operator plays an important role in warehouse and manufacturing operations by operating forklifts to support inventory movement and material handling. This position requires strong spatial awareness, attention to detail, and safe operating practices.

Successful Production Forklift Operator candidates understand warehouse workflows, equipment inspections, inventory procedures, and safe material handling while supporting productive daily operations. Consistent performance contributes directly to warehouse efficiency.
