What You Will Do
As a Fabrication Production Manager you will lead daily production operations, assign work, coordinate staffing, monitor workflow, coach employees, and keep the shift moving without cutting corners on safety or quality. You will track production goals and performance, lead pre-shift meetings, troubleshoot operational problems, coordinate with maintenance, quality, warehouse, and leadership teams, maintain production records and shift reports, support employee training, and create a respectful workplace built around teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The Fabrication Production Manager keeps the production floor moving by giving employees clear direction and making sure the people, materials, equipment, and priorities of the shift stay aligned. It is a hands-on leadership role for people who understand how manufacturing actually works.
A successful Fabrication Production Manager knows when to coach, when to troubleshoot, when to adjust staffing, and when to bring in maintenance, quality, or other support teams. Strong supervisors respect the process while recognizing that real production environments require quick decisions and practical problem-solving.
This career offers experienced manufacturing professionals the opportunity to turn floor knowledge into meaningful leadership.
